I was asked to do a commission piece from a woman that wanted original artwork so to transfer onto her back as a tattoo. It's a pencil drawing that was completed in 2007. It took about a week and a half to do.
Unfortunately, she felt I was asking too much for the piece and decided not to purchase it.

This woman was going through trials an tribulations in her life at the time and wanted a piece to reflect what she was feeling. She gave me a picture of a celtic snake or swan like symbol in a infinity type of design and gave me the freedom to use it as a guide to create whatever my imagination wanted.

I chose the butterfly as the symbol of change and rebirth, the spade like leaves were similar to floral she already had tattooed on her back. The leaves float above and merge with the beginnings of two female angels that took the place of the swan/snake figures. To me they represented just that - Angels. Caretakers of her soul. The woman is a representation of Love. Beautiful, majestic, peaceful, serene. All these images enclosed together in harmony. ~Cristina
